- Political discussion has been heightened this week when it was announced that Cayman will have to introduce public registers of beneficial ownership by the end of 2020, and if they do not, the U.K may issue an order in council to force Cayman to do so.
- Carnival season is officially here! Batabano will kick off the season this weekend with the adult parade taking place Saturday from 1pm. The question is, will you be jumping this weekend?
- The 18th annual Big Bash is taking place tonight at Ristorante Pappagallo and will raise funds for Cayman HospiceCare. We are loving the theme of this year’s event, ‘May the 4th be with you’, get it?
- Tourism New Zealand has this week unveiled a hilarious ad staring comic genius and Kiwi, Rhys Darby and New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern. We think it’s pretty funny, check it out.
- A new exhibit will open at the Cayman Islands National Gallery tonight entitled ‘Coral Encounters’. The exhibit will feature work from Cayman-based photographers on the underwater wonders with aims to draw attention to the problems with reefs around Grand Cayman and the diminishment of sea life over the past 35 years.
