1) A new government was sworn in by Cayman Islands Governor Helen Kilpatrick on Wednesday, May 31, with Alden McLaughlin as Premier and McKeeva Bush as Speaker.  

2) The Cayman National Choir celebrates its 40 year anniversary this year. Take a trip back through the history of the choir, starting with its founding in the 70s.

3) Hurricane season officially began yesterday, June 1, and will run until November 30. In better news, mango season also began yesterday and will run until July 31.

4) The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism has issued a “Worry Free Hurricane Guarantee” in conjunction with participating properties, which will protect visitors by covering the cost of cancellations due to inclement weather.

5) The UEFA Champions League final between Juventus and Real Madrid is happening this Saturday, June 3, at 1:45 pm. Catch the action and support the Cayman Islands U15 National Team at a fundraiser event starting at 1:30 pm at XQ’s Bar and Grill.
