What did the hat say to the tie?
“You hang around here… I’ll go on ahead.”
BOOM!!
Today is International Hat Day. We love any opportunity to have fun and be creative while supporting our community so couldn’t wait to raid our closets and bring out our finest headwear.
This International Hat Day, Tower is supporting our local Rotaract Clubs by spreading awareness and raising funds for them to continue on their successful path to professional development, community and international service.
Rotaract, part of the Rotary family, is worldwide and comprises of young adults between the ages of 18 to 30. This group of extraordinary young people make a difference in our local community in many forms from literacy programmes to health and awareness programmes, leadership development and youth empowerment.
At the end of each Rotary year there is a conference for the district where members have access to training in Rotaract roles, professional development and can participate in a community project. Each year the conference is held in a different country and 2016’s event will be right here in the Cayman Islands. Funds raised from the “Hats Off To Rotaract” Day will go towards Rotaract’s efforts to plan and coordinate this conference – an event sure to benefit Cayman’s tourism industry.
Don’t have your hat on yet? We suggest you rush out and get involved. What better way to celebrate a fun, quirky national day of the year and support a worthy cause. Don’t forget to share your photos with #HatsOffToRotaract. Because hats the way we do it!
