Recently, Moya and I were lucky enough to head out of the office and into the sunshine on to the beautiful beach of our client, Plantana.
One of the lovely Plantana team members, Miss Sadie, recently received a Stingray Tourism Award for Long Service and we were there to take her photo and capture a few words.
Miss Sadie is probably the sweetest lady ever. She is the kind of Caymanian that calls you ‘sweetie’ and it’s ok, because she reminds you of your grandmother.
We scoped out a few sitting areas around the property and Miss Sadie made sure to get her hair just right before we took the photos.
By the way if you haven’t been to Plantana, you should, it really is like a piece of heaven in the middle of all the other hotels and high rises along Seven Mile Beach.
Back to the fun.
Miss Sadie greeted us with hugs and was excited to show us her award. Even though it was only 9:30 am, naturally it was not only hot but it was ‘Cayman hot’. So our goal was to get Miss Sadie in and out of the sun in as little time as possible. We couldn’t risk messing up her hair with frizz from the humidity! Luckily it was an easy ‘sit here, smile’ *click*, next location.
The walk around the property gave us a chance to get to know Miss Sadie and turned the photo-shoot into a mini adventure. Sometimes you need a moment to talk with someone in another industry to refresh your love for what you do – and your love for an AC’d office!
