Tower, Tower Marketing, Ileana Ebanks, Miriam MascalGRAND CAYMAN (September 3, 2014) – Tower, one of Cayman’s leading strategic communications agencies, has shown its commitment to the training and employment of young Caymanians in the marketing and communications industry with the addition of two new recruits.

Ms Lynne Byles, Managing Director of Tower said recruiting, developing and training the best young Caymanian talent is a priority for Tower.

“We are serious about offering career pathways for young Caymanians by providing mentoring and opportunities for our young people to reach their potential, coupled with our desire to create a nurturing and inspiring environment for our interns and graduates to learn and grow,” Ms Byles said.

Ms Ileana Ebanks recently joined Tower after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing at the University of South Florida, as a supplement to her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology.

“I was fortunate enough to intern with Tower in the summer of 2013,” she said. “It didn’t take me long to realise there are things you can only learn on the job, through trial and error and from working alongside those with experience.”

“At the end of my internship I knew I wanted to return to Tower in a permanent position. Tower gave me the range of experience I was looking for as well as the opportunity to be a part of a fun, innovative and hardworking team,” Ms Ebanks said.  “I am proud to be working back in Cayman which allows me to contribute to my community.”

Ms Miriam Mascal currently attends the University College of the Cayman Islands where she is completing an Associate Degree in Business Administration. She interned for Tower over this past summer and will continue to supplement her studies by interning with the agency throughout the academic year.

“Having worked at Tower for the summer, I continue to learn what sets marketing communications apart from other fields of business,” Ms Mascal said. “I love coming to work knowing I will learn something totally different and creative each day. Even more, I enjoy working with amazing women who are passionate about what they do and that is an experience all on its own.”

Ms Byles said her aim at Tower was to provide young Caymanians with a world of opportunities to grow and succeed.

“We are delighted to bolster our team with smart, passionate young Caymanians looking to make a difference in the agency and the industry at large,” she said.
