10 June 2014 (George Town, Cayman Islands) ? Cayman Finance recently presented a copy of its new jurisdictional publication to Governor Helen Kilpatrick. The publication is aimed at promoting Cayman’s most important industry – financial services – representing over half of the country’s economy and over a third of its employment.
Cayman. The Future of Finance, was produced in partnership with the Ministry of Financial Services, Commerce, and Environment.
“The signing of the recent MOU between the Cayman Islands Government and Cayman Finance illustrates a strong partnership, and I am confident this combining of strengths will work to further solidify Cayman’s position as a leader in the global financial services arena. This new magazine is an important conduit for expanding the knowledge of the reader so Cayman is first in mind when seeking a jurisdiction in which to do business,” said the Governor.
Used to directly promote Cayman as a financial services centre of choice, the aim of Cayman Finance is to have the magazine distributed worldwide via its membership, as well as at many of the conferences and seminars it attends and hosts during the course of the year.
“We believe this publication highlights the true depth of knowledge of Cayman’s financial service providers and how well-regulated the jurisdiction truly is,” said Cayman Finance CEO, Gonzalo Jalles. “We are pleased with the publication’s wide distribution, having already been circulated throughout the Cayman Finance membership and having made an appearance at such recent conferences as GAIMOps Cayman, City Week Financial Services Forum in London, Offshore Alert in Miami, and the upcoming Fund Forum International and Gaim International conferences in Monaco.”
