Ms Elissa Costello of Tower Marketing recently presented a donation of 0 to Caymanian Special Olympian, Mr Andrew Smiley, and Special Olympics volunteer, Ms Penny McDowall, as part of Tower’s celebration for reaching the milestone of 500 Likes on social media network, Facebook.
As a show appreciation for its fans and supporters, Tower held a contest for its 500 Facebook followers. Fans were encouraged to like a photo collage and nominate their favourite charity to receive a 0 donation.
“Tower is pleased to take this small opportunity to give back to such a great organization,” Ms Costello said. “It was a fun way to thank our supporters and pay it forward to the community. Special Olympics and its volunteers accomplish great things for Cayman’s special needs athletes and we hope this donation will make a difference.”
Competition winner Ms McDowall is a long-time volunteer and advocate for Special Olympics Cayman Islands, she thanked Tower and said the donation would be put to good use.
