Premier McLaughlin 2015 Healthcare ConferenceThis year’s Cayman Islands Healthcare Conference, which takes place from 20 to 22 October, 2016, will focus on optimal health during the various stages of life under the theme “The Chapters of a Healthy Life”. The conference will cover a range of topics over the entire lifespan to include children’s and adolescent health, women’s and men’s health and the health of older persons.

Hosted at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, this is the seventh annual Cayman Islands Healthcare Conference and with almost 1,000 delegates attending last year’s 3 day event, organisers are looking forward to another successful and educational event.

Premier and Minister of Health, Hon Alden McLaughlin, noted that this year’s theme is particularly fitting as the Cayman Islands continues to develop its healthcare services.

“By bringing together experts from a variety of fields, we aim to provide our local medical and healthcare professionals the opportunity to develop their knowledge to ultimately create a better experience for their patients. This conference also offers a wealth of knowledge to members of the community to educate themselves on ways to support their health and wellness, or the health and wellness of their families and clients.”

Lizzette Yearwood, Chair of the Conference Planning Committee and CEO of the Health Services Authority, said the event continues to offer both medical professionals and the general public the opportunity to educate themselves through the various talks and breakout sessions.2015 Cayman Islands Healthcare Conference

“Whether attending for business or personal reasons, it is my sincerest hope that everyone leaves the Conference with the knowledge and tools to sustain their health at each stage of their life” Ms Yearwood said.
