Elyse may have been born and raised in the very centre of England with beaches three hours in every direction, but her wanderlust sees her travel at every opportunity. Elyse’s journey through life so far has seen 24 countries in 24 years, from the streets of Paris to beaches as far as Thailand. Cayman and #TeamTower are her post-graduation home, with the nearest shore only 5 minutes away.
Between agency internships in London and achieving a first class degree in Sport Marketing, Elyse found her feet working creatively on social media campaigns, media releases and blog writing, all fundamental to the work we do here at Tower. Elyse’s extensive marketing and events experience sees her constantly writing and ticking off to-do lists, and working within a team is second nature.
Elyse is never far from sport. From picking up a racket at age 7 to becoming a qualified coach, Elyse is happiest on the tennis court, but you will also find her supporting local football club Academy SC every weekend. When Elyse is away from tennis and football, she is watching Netflix, eating Mexican food or obsessing over memes. She has a newly-found passion for Cayman’s Chicken! Chicken! and spicy gravy.
Just for Fun
Who or what inspires you?
My biggest inspiration is my mum. Marketing is in the genes and she instilled a work ethic and a fascination with advertisements (Christmas ones in particular) in me from an early age. She also moved 7,000 miles for work recently and found a new lease of life…and was a big influence in me finding mine.
Night owl or early bird?
Neither. I am a human sloth and nothing is more valuable to me than counting how many hours and minutes I’ll get every night.
What is your biggest phobia?
Pigeons. They terrify me.
What was the last book you read?
“We should all be feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi. Amazing.
Sweet or savoury?
Sugar is my ultimate weakness and the way to my heart is through percy pigs or cookie dough ice cream.
