Following the Cayman Islands Monetary Authorities (CIMA’s) recent clarification on the various compliance roles of investment vehicles and other entities, local financial services training company, FTS, has announced it will be hosting a seminar on the roles of MLRO, AMLCO & Deputy MLROs for compliance professionals, CEOs and fun directors.

“The seminar will provide delegates with more information about each role, the duties involved and how to manage potential related risks,” Paul Byles, Director of FTS, said.

Speakers at the seminar include Prabha Namburi, Chief Policy & Development Officer at CIMA, and Heather Smith, Head of Investments and Securities Division at CIMA.

Ms. Namburi is responsible for conducting research on international regulatory developments relating to financial services, while Ms. Smith is responsible for the authorisation and supervision of regulated hedge funds, fund administrators and securities investment companies in the Cayman Islands.

“Both Ms. Namburi and Ms. Smith will provide delegates with more information on what is expected of their MLRO, AMLCO & Deputy MLROs, ensuring that companies have the information they need to operate their compliance departments efficiently and effectively,” Mr. Byles said.

The seminar will take place on Friday May 25th, 2018, at The Westin Resort and Spa, from 8:30am to 11:00am. Registration is USD$250 and can be made online at ftscayman.com/events.
